Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Every tool on this site runs entirely in your browser using the HTML canvas. Your images never leave your device, which also makes processing instant — there is no upload or download wait.
How much smaller will my image get?
Photos exported at 80% JPEG or WebP quality are commonly 5–10× smaller than an uncompressed original. WebP generally compresses 25–35% better than JPEG at the same visual quality.
Why can’t I compress to PNG?
PNG is a lossless format with no quality dial. To make a PNG dramatically smaller, convert it to WebP (keeps transparency) or JPEG (photos without transparency).
